I have been in the exercise industry for over 15 years now, teaching in every aspect of health and fitness, testing out new and old exercise methodology.
In 2008-2009 I was teaching alot of group fitness classes using industry standard methodology such as Bodypump and the like. I was also doing a lot of 1-1 personal training sessions, unsurprisingly I found that my own 1-1 sessions were getting better results than the larger groups, and I put this down to mainly the constant variety of exercise that we were doing in the 1-1 sessions compared to the repetitive choreographed group fitness sessions. So I began putting medium sized groups together of 10-15 and programming my own sessions. These sessions proved to be very popular and quickly produced excellent results with the added advantage of not hitting the pocket of my clients too hard. Around about this time I discovered CrossFit which basically mirrored what I had already started to implement into my own teaching so unsurprisingly I soon came to embrace CrossFit. And the rest as they say is history.
In 2009 I began to make plans for CrossFit Clitheroe and I began to search for premises. I was determined to provide an incredible, well equipped facility unlike any other CrossFit box in the UK. I visited other boxes and quickly realised that many of them were much alike. I decided I would have something different. And different I certainly got at Primrose Mill! I believe we are amongst the best equipped boxes in Europe.
Personally I have had the most pleasure from seeing our members achieve incredible results. Long may that continue.
